Getting Back Running Again

Sometimes, against our intentions, things go distastrously wrong. Whether you are a large or small business or even a home user, your most valuable IT asset is almost certainly your data. Hardware can be insured and replaced, but your data is unique.

We can advise on and help you implement backup regimes that ensure your data is always safely recoverable. But if the worst happens and your data appears lost, do not panic. Firstly try not to do any further work on the broken systems. Often, "deleted" or recently changed data will still be on your disks as long as you do not let new work overwrite it. Also, "virtual" backups may exist in the form of copies of documents scattered across different users on your network, maybe for example as e-mail attachments. So you may still have the data somewhere which you thought you had lost.

Disasters are very individual. So is Disaster Recovery. Please ask us for advice if you have any concerns.
